He's not wrong

He's just operating on the surface level. Scott Adams points out that Social Justice has a body count:

I'm just going to say it:

If CDC guidelines had told us to socially distance from obese people over the age of fifty, the pandemic would already be over.

Because math.

And they fucking knew it.

But they couldn't say it.

Wokeness probably killed 200,000 people.

It's almost certainly worse than that, if one takes the rising suicide rate into account. As much as I personally love the lockdowns, they are lethal for both people and local economies.

Surface level indeed.

Adams still can't figure out for himself whether or not cotton and paper that won't stop smoke, will stop a virus.

Let alone his acceptance of the asymptomatic myth, among others.

The stats from even the earliest period of 'corona' deaths were revealing that to be a corona victim one would have to live three years longer than the life expectancy in his country and have one or two other serious health problems.

This was all known by March/April, and definitely May 2020, so Adams really isn't 'right' in any sense, surface level or otherwise.

Flimsy and scared by the news.

The lockdowns made zero difference in my life.
I probably should not be proud of it.

On the related note, it certainly does seem like covid went after the self-indulgent in particular. So we did what any post-Christian civilization would do: wreck the lives of better people to save fat stupid boomers.

Given how manipulatable the testing can be, and how nebulous those results are in the first place ('coronoavirus' positives cover quite a wide swath), I don't think technically speaking that this pandemic* can possibly ever "be over." It's in the hands of the soccer moms now. And until tens of millions of karens get on twitter and shame each other for wearing masks, we are stuck with their convictions on the subject.

My in-laws were prevented from working for three months straight. We had to pay their rent and buy them food. I don't mind doing it, but it's a LOT of money taking care of two households on just my income alone. Oh yeah, also my wife's business is dead. Meaning she doesn't pay for our food anymore either. That's on me too.

What they knew has very little to do with what they wanted to happen. What they wanted to happen has started to happen. They need... want... much larger numbers. However, as to overweight, over fifty? Dubious. I got covid from a 20 something, not the other way around. Further, I got over in over a four day weekend, he had it for two weeks. Meh.

Blogger Azure Amaranthine April 01, 2021 10:58 AM

Social Justice?

Add to the body count all the children never conceived, let alone murdered, due to women being made unhappy "liberated" witches and men being unmade.

Add those whose initiation of life was precluded, due to the influence of homosexuals and pedophiles, on children who would have later been their parents.

Add those who weren't conceived due to their parents being placed under greater strain for employment due to "affirmative action" criteria. Or were "outcompeted" for housing by foreign invaders whom were subsidized by the nation's tax dollars that were not supposed to be collected anymore after WWII. Or just subsidized straight away by bankster-positioned monopolies hiring cheap labor at the expense of the nation and for the profit of their own pockets.

Add those never counted among the living because their prospective mothers were forced into "employment" so that their fathers could be paid less, and Greed could profit more.

Who can number the lives that would have been? The murdered children are already so numerous as to be impossible to countenance. How many magnitudes more, those who were never conceived?

I view Scott Adams as a sort of weather vane. He is certainly no conservative or right-winger. Yet he has become increasingly critical and even outright hostile to liberal ideas and liberals in general. The weather vanes means that if he is becoming like that. many other semi-liberals and fence sitters are becoming like that as well. This gives me hope.

Like Doktor Jeep, the lockdowns did not affect me personally at all. Well, they did in that my previous employer shutdown. But I found a new job, with a 30% pay increase, within a month. So I actually benefited from them. Nevertheless, the lockdowns have pissed me off to no end. I'm happy to have benefited from them, if inadvertently. But, a lot of people have been screwed royally by them, not to mention the corrosive effect on liberty in general.

So, it appears that we gave up freedom and an economy for nothing more than to prevent censor of fat people. As someone who is a committed aerobic fitness and bodybuilder, you can imagine how I feel about this, especially when the gyms shut down.

Blogger Emmanuel April 01, 2021 11:39 AM

Quebec is also the only place in North America that's had martial law in probably the past century. trudeau's stepdad used the War Measures Act (renamed in 2000 as the Emergency Measures Act) during the FLQ crisis. I believe Quebec is a good case study for Americans to examine what life would be like - to share a country with a foreign, strongly Catholic foreign speaking nation that cannot quite function but has excellent food protection laws. Mexifornia Northeast.

The FLQ famously went over the line by kidnapping and executing the British Ambassador, but they had a decade or so terror campaign with 200 bombings including a stock exchange. For anyone wondering what martial law would look like in modern times with modern armies, you don't have to wonder.

He's not wrong, but he dares not state the *important* truth of the matter: that Covid is not more lethal than the flu. To refrain from saying so while accusing one side or the other of murdering masses of people is to affirm the overarching narrative of the "pandemic" as something worth getting hysterical over. It smuggles along the lie by concealing the truth.

Adams is permitted to enjoy his cozy blue check sitting on the fence at Twitter for a reason.

Our province will be in another lockdown for Easter. The statement from our 300 lb. Premier mentioned spiking rona cases taxing the ER's as the reason. A nurse from our small town hospital told my friend that they aren't dealing with coof cases. They're dealing with fentanyl overdose and withdrawal cases. The pharmacies have signs saying they will not tolerate angry belligerent people any longer. You'll never guess what they're looking for when they're angry and belligerent.

The lockdowns prolong the pain. People get infected more slowly, but the lockdowns have uniformly failed to eradicate the virus entirely.

Right now, there's a minor surge in COVID... again.

But guess where it's worst: Gretchen Witchler's Michigan. Secondarily, the Northeast in general, and Minnesota.
Well, duh... because many fewer people got infected than in neighboring states, that also means there are more people able to pass it around now.

Right now, the heat map looks a bit like a map which plots where there are the most Democrats. And the virus is vanishing from a rising number of rural counties in the Plains.

Imagine if the whole USA had been locked down like Michigan, which would have almost certainly been the case if Shillary had been successfully (s)elected in 2016.

The current slight uptick in cases would've been a full-blown surge.

Vox, why do you like the lockdowns?

Not answering for Vox, but the initial lockdowns did have several benefits, and not just for introverts. "Is there anything Corona-chan can't do?" wasn't just a meme. It shut down the schools, so parents had to spend more time with their kids, and some discovered how little education the schools really do. It shined a big spotlight on how much is truly outsourced, including critical resources like prescription medications. It justified closing borders and blocking traffic more than could be done before. It raised awareness that China is not our friend. It got people thinking about their personal preparedness, when they realized even a lack of toilet paper could be a serious problem. It shut down Hollywood and Disney and other sources of evil indoctrination. Even the cops stopped patrolling and hassling people for non-violent crimes for a while.

Of course, the establishment eventually got their arms around it and turned the lockdowns to their own benefit as much as they could. They got the indoctrination centers going again, even bringing people back into stadiums for the circuses to go along with the bread, while telling us we shouldn't gather with family for Christmas. And now they're trying to use the promise of freedom from lockdown to create a two-class society where the class that wears masks and carries alien genetics in its bloodstream can go anywhere it likes, and the other class is barred from public spaces. So that sucks if you don't live somewhere you can ignore it.

But those first lockdowns? Yeah, they were pretty okay.

Blogger My Comment April 01, 2021 8:03 PM

The problem I have with Adam's tweet, and him in general, is that he still buys into the main Narratives. He is helping legitimize the nonsense that Covid was a death machine when few people died from it that weren't older than the average life expectancy of a country and already sick.

The hoax surrounding Covid is far more damaging than the hoax and taboos involving body positivity. What they have in common is both destroy lives and are stupid. Go back even 25 years and neither one would have been considered rational.

@52 "failed to eradicate the virus entirely"

This is swallowing the underlying under-*LYING* false premise. It is not ever possible to "eradicate" a virus!

Have you forgotten the original alleged 'purpose' of lock downs was to PROTECT hospitals!? To hold the expected / possible 'flood' of the seriously sick to a creek instead of a tsunami and 'spread out' those who were seriously ill needing a hospital bed?

Everyone is gonna catch it in the end -- it's a VIRUS! There is no human on the planet who has NOT at some point, been exposed to the influenza virus. You remember flu? That virus that USED to kill more than several thousand people every flu season, but has gone on vacation 100% so that corona-cooties could take over the job?

Especially in this lie-filled Cabal manipulation of the world, careful and precise word-choice is needed. Do NOT allow their lies and falsities to flow by unnoticed in your speech, esp. when speaking to normies! Plant seeds of truth EVERYWHERE! All the time! You do not, you can not know which seeds will fall on receptive ears and brains.

ALWAYS be closing... down the lies of our enemies!
