Minneapolis is going to burn again

Because unless the jury is absolutely hell-bent on finding an obviously innocent police officer guilty of murder because racism, the prosecution is absolutely sabotaging what passes for its case:

Apparently, no one is watching the trial of Derek Chauvin, the former Minneapolis police officer on trial for the murder of George Floyd. Otherwise, the media couldn’t get away with their spectacular lying to the public about how the prosecution is killing it.

It’s quite the opposite. In fact, in less than a week, the prosecution’s theory of the crime has subtly shifted from MURDER! to “failed to provide what we would say, in retrospect, would be a full and complete duty of care during the one- to three-minute interval between Floyd’s resisting the police to his dying, as a hostile crowd screamed obscenities at the police officers.”

The defense hasn’t even begun to make its case, but the prosecution’s witnesses keep helping Chauvin. (The only exception to the wild media lying is Headline News, where the lawyer commentators go the extra mile by watching the trial.)

Week One was chock-a-block with weeping bystanders wailing about how they felt watching Chauvin restrain Floyd. This would be tremendous evidence if the charge against Officer Chauvin were “first-degree upsetting bystanders.” But that’s not the charge. That’s not even a crime.

One especially distraught witness, Charles McMillian, an elderly black man, testified to seeing “foam” coming out of Floyd’s mouth.

QUIZ: Is foam coming out of the mouth a sign of:

a) a head wound?

b) strangulation?

c) a drug overdose?

ANSWER: c) a drug overdose.

Apart from that crucial fact, McMillian’s evidence only pertained to “first-degree upsetting bystanders.” Which, again, is not a crime.

My favorite witness — and the media’s favorite, too! — was Genevieve Hansen, Feminist Hero. She appeared in court in her firefighter dress uniform and a belligerent mood — though not as belligerent as the day Floyd died, when she showed up in sweats and began shrieking at the officers.

The headlines are along the lines of “Firefighter: I Could Have Saved Floyd’s Life, But Police Wouldn’t Let Me.”

Yes, apparently, Genevieve would have invented a time machine, gone back, and stopped Floyd from ingesting three times the lethal dose of fentanyl. I take it back: Chubby girls make the best firefighters! (Don’t get snippy with me: It’s beyond outrageous that fire departments have abandoned all physical fitness requirements solely in order to hire more women.)

According to Genevieve, the police on the scene unaccountably refused to step aside and take direction from her, despite her full ONE YEAR of experience as a firefighter.

Genevieve was totally on top of the situation. In her statement to investigators shortly after the event, she described Floyd as a “small, slim man.” Floyd was at least 6-foot-4 and weighed 230 pounds. The largest police officer on the scene was Chauvin, coming in at 5-foot-9 and 140 pounds. Genevieve missed nothing!

Even in the calm setting of a courtroom, with no agitated bystanders yelling at her, here are the things Genevieve says she would have done to save Floyd’s life!

In order:

“I would have requested additional help.”

“I would have wanted someone to call 911.”

Fortunately, when the fires start, the intrepid Genevieve will be there to call someone else to put them out.

Andrew Branca over at Legal Insurrection is running daily blog posts on this and if it wasn't so serious, I would be laughing my ass off at the prosecution. If this is some nefarious plot to have cities burn and take the heat off Biden, it couldn't have been done any better.

Since the Covid/Floyd-Riots "epidemic" of 2020, Sports and Hollywood destroyed themselves, the Democrat run cities were burned, and there was an increase of 35% in inner city murders in 2020. They were able to steal the election though.

They also hastened the break up of the country by 10 years, demoncrats and establishment Republicucks are to blame for this impending disaster.

I’m going to only refer to the case as “The Suicide of George Floyd”. If some SJW twinkette attempts to step in and say that I can’t know that it’s suicide or not (and they will because they can’t help themselves), that will lay down perfect road for me to remind it that murder isn’t determined either.

Chauvin is already well upon his way to the slammer. The jurors would be doxxed if he walked, and they know what would happen to Minneapolis and most other large cities throughout the country.

Blogger Lando April 08, 2021 9:20 AM

I have been following it sporadically. The Defense is not even breaking a sweat in its stride and it's absolutely ironclad in its logical conclusions, though sometimes meandering in its questioning, mostly in an effort to communicate downward with the midwits and the out-and-out stupid witnesses the prosecution has paid to appear.

Nelson has to phrase his questions in a manner that has him bobbing his head like he's talking to profoundly retarded individuals...even to his opponents across the isle.

Passing mention to the "Carleton from Fresh Prince: the Later Years" Police Chief who parrots the White Man's language so well he seems like he's actually understanding the words, but he's a disingenuous quota hire (Black *and* Gay, that's hard) who hasn't been engaged in real police work on forever and is hell bent on throwing his own man under the bus.

Blogger Azimus April 08, 2021 9:48 AM

Never fear, they'll convict on the stoploss manslaughter charge.

Chauvin will spend 2yrs in a minimum security facility, or maybe even house arrest since his lawyers could argue successfully that general population is a death sentence for him. While serving time, he will work diligently on his lawsuit against the city of Minneapolis, which he will win, and when he's paroled in 2024 he'll be a millionaire. He will move to the Pacific Rim somewhere and live like a king for the rest of his days.

All this because some idiot swallowed his drugs and picked the wrong 15 minute window to die.

Blogger Doktor Jeep April 08, 2021 9:52 AM

Ann is just repeating something patently untrue. There is no "3 times the lethal dose of Fentanyl" Anyone who gets on the stand and testifies that Floyd died of a Fentanyl overdose because of the 3x bs is going to get torn up on cross examination.

There was testimony (by his shark) that he was a daily user of opiates and had been for months. An habituated user of opiates can need that amount just to not to experience withdrawal. As far as I know, there is no real way to determine after death what the level of tolerance is via some sort of chemical test.
Unless the defense can find that Floyd recently tried to get methadone from an ER or otherwise came into contact with someone clinically and told them his daily intake, this is going to be really difficult to prove, especially to a jury just looking to hang Chauvin.

Blogger Joe Doakes April 08, 2021 10:25 AM

The case occurred in Hennepin County where Mike Freeman is County Attorney. He's a White man, a bigshot Democrat, the son of a Governor, ran for Governor himself, and his office oversaw the high-profile conviction of Officer Noor (a Somali affirmative action hire cop who panicked and shot a White woman while responding to her 911 call). Freeman has a capable staff of prosecutors but they're not handling the case. He managed to get the judge to disqualify the entire office for violating the rules of ethics regarding disclosure of evidence. Bad boy. Bad Brer Freeman, we're throwing you into that briar patch far away from the dumpster fire that's about to break out in the courtroom, where you'll be safely insulated from blame and able to point fingers at the losers ruining the case.

Which left Attorney General Keith Ellison in charge of the prosecution. Ellison is a Black man, fan of Antifa who formerly called himself 'Hakim X.' He's not a trial lawyer and most of his staff aren't either; they've solicited volunteer lawyers to prosecute the case (can you imagine what the press would say if a White Attorney General solicited volunteer lawyers to prosecute a Black man?) and actually found several white-shoe lawyers willing to help with the virtue-signaling-lynching.

The defense lawyer is one guy (I suspect being paid by the police officer's union but cannot confirm that). It's literally To Kill A Mockingbird played out in reverse racial roles. And as Arne C. points out at Comment 5 above, the best day-by-day analysis shows the defense kicking the prosecution team all around the courthouse to the point the DEFENSE actually announced it was calling the STATE's use-of-force expert as a DEFENSE expert, his testimony was so helpful to the defense.

The city will still burn, of course, just like vibrantly diverse communities after any emotional event (if our team wins we burn cars and loot, whereas if our team loses we loot and burn cars). But it won't be rationally related to anything the cops did that day.

Blogger tuberman April 08, 2021 10:35 AM

Even if by some miracle he gets a full acquittal, it still won't be over for him. We've seen this movie before. The feds already have all the charging papers filled out just waiting for that acquittal.
I have been watching the trial (some, not all) and I believe so far the defense really hasn't been very aggressive. They had some Los Angeles cop as a use of force expert and the defense let him say whatever he wanted to say.
The prosecutor will not give immunity to a witness (who was there in the car, who threw away drugs on camera and who was known to be Floyd's dealer) who would be very helpful to the defense and he is invoking the 5th. The prosecutor and judge aren't even making him invoke the 5th in front of the jury. His (the drug dealer) attorney gets to pre-screen all of the allowable questions and he can be subject to no other questions other than what all 4 of them (judge, Prosecutor, defense and dealer's lawyer) agree to beforehand. It's a kangaroo court.

Everyone should consider how a juror in this trial faces immense pressure now. Almost certain doxxing if he/she is the one dissenting, leading to public cancelation and hate, immense danger to their family, certain destruction in their home state and city, all in the balance with choosing to sacrifice a police officer they don't know and probably don't care about.

How many people would realistically sacrifice themselves and, more importantly, their family, on the altar of justice? If there really were many such people, I doubt the world would be the way it is.

Regarding the prosecution's case, in addition to the lack of actual evidence, the prosecutors feel extremely weak and not confident. It almost feels as if even they don't believe in their own case but just try to pull it through somehow to the end.

It's my opinion that an acquittal serves Keith Ellison's political agenda better than a conviction. This can only be aided by the constant media reporting of how well he prosecution is going.

Anyone who watched the George Zimmerman trial on Legal Insurrection (with Andrew Brancas commentary) new fairly quickly that the state had little chance of a conviction, even though the media reported that a conviction was certain.

When this story blew up last spring I didn't bother watching the video that everyone was so outraged by. I didn't care that much. The police were arresting people for going to church in defiance of the covid tyranny so I wasn't too surprised that a cop choked someone to death.

Then since the riots kept going and going I finally decided to track down the video that was so disturbing to everyone. After watching it, my wife and I had that "are we the I only ones who are seeing this?" feeling. It was obvious that Floyd was dying of a drug overdose, while the cops patiently waited for the Paramedics to arrive, and held Floyd down because they didn't know if he would start flailing and going crazy. We could also tell that the screaming bystanders where unnecessarily distracting the police and preventing them from handling Floyd in the best way possible.

Also, I did my own experiment where I laid down prone, and had my wife put her knee on my neck with as much weight as she could. It wasn't comfortable, but I could in fact breath.

Furthermore, it's obvious from the video that after Floyd calms down, Chauvin is not putting his full weight on Floyd but just holding his knee in place in case Floyd starts freaking out (more than he already was). Early in the video, Floyd is still able to lift his head even when Chauvin is putting more weight on him. Later when Floyd quits struggling, Chauvin shifts his weight away from his left knee and is more concerned with the screaming bystanders.

It's been obvious from the start that this is not murder, not manslaughter, not even worth the slightest reprimand from Chauvin's superiors. While making an arrest, the suspect OD'd and the police held him in place until the paramedics arrived, but by then, the suspect was already too far gone to save. End of story.

If you are a cop and you work in a city where you will frequently deal with the jogging community. Move immediately. Don't worry about how many more years until you get full pension. Leave these idiot cities to burn themselves to the ground. There is absolutely no reason for you to go to prison for doing your job while the Prometheans are hellbent on turning it into a 3rd world sh--hole.

This does not mean I "back the blue." If you're a cop and you're enforcing covid restriction. Stop being a idiot. Quit obeying your psychopathic bosses. If you do so, you deserve whatever the angry mob might do to you. Instead, move to a city where they aren't going insane. Leave the dead to bury the dead.

The relocation of Cops is one of the most important steps that must happen in preparation for the big break up. The more the good cops sort themselves into good territory, the better off we will be. I hope the coming destruction in Minneapolis (that will happen regardless of how this trial turns out) will drive this home to them.

Blogger RA April 08, 2021 11:44 AM

I'm wondering if there are at least one, maybe two persons on that jury who got themselves in with the express purpose of finding Chauvin guilty of murder and intimidating the rest of the jury into going along.

It's not as if we haven't seen that before.

More likely the jurors have been seen and followed home. Further, they know they've been seen and followed, and may act accordingly.

My prediction: the jury finds for manslaughter and hangs on all of the more serious charges. Those person(s) who wanted to railroad Chauvin will whine to the media and appear at the protests that will follow.

This reminds me of the Rodney King trial when the media withheld the first several seconds of the famous video for months but could not stop the jury from seeing all of it. So we might see something like that as there is a lot of video coming out now that we didn't see before, and they aren't friendly to the prosecution.

Option a) Chauvin is acquitted = Minneapolis and the 'burbs burn because justice is now injustice and injustice can only be corrected by burning down the homes and businesses of people who have nothing to do with it.

Option b) Chauvin is convicted of a lesser-offense. Conviction of a lesser offense must, of course, mean that black lives are lesser. See option a)

Option c) Chauvin is convicted. ACAB is proven true in court and becomes the law of the land. Cops can no longer do their job. It's a free-for-all, Minneapolis burns to make up for all of the past racisms of all whypipo everywhere. See option a).

Back in my misspent boomer youth police forces recruited directly out of high schools, and two of my classmates applied. That's why I remember that the nearest city force had minimum requirements of 6 feet and 185 pounds.

Coming up soon in this trial, we're probably going to get a view into the shitshow that is Minneapolis EMS dispatch. The ambulance took forever to arrive at the George Floyd scene because they went to the wrong address.

One more endorsement here for Legal Insurrection.

Blogger Beans April 08, 2021 12:52 PM

What Annie C said above, Andrew Branca over at Legal Insurrection is doing a very nice day-by-day summary, with links to video of the questionings.

And, sadly, most all of this was known within 4 to 24 hours of the incident. Early 'news' hit pieces showed Chauvin with his knee in the middle of the upper back. Drugs were suspected and confirmed almost right away. The hostile crowd, the EMS bugging out, the whole George-resisting thingy, all known almost immediately, yet the officials fired the cops, paid off the family and are now working to legally murder Chauvin for doing his job.

Chauvin's attorney Nelson is definitely the legal David vs the State's Goliath. Well, if David had a .50BMG. That's how bad the cross examinations have been.

Which, of course, none of the media is covering. They're only covering what the prosecutors (12 - 14 of them) are doing. Will be interesting to see if, when it's the Defense's turn, if the media only covers the prosecutors' cross-examinations.

And, yes, no matter what, Minneapolis and several other cities will burn.

And... so? At this stage, well, Copulate Them, with a rusty pitchfork. 10 to 1, Xiden will send in the National Guard.

Chauvin is already well upon his way to the slammer. The jurors would be doxxed if he walked...

If "patriots are in control" and using-the-enemy's-playbook-against-them (among other Q shibboleths) are really a thing, then that's exactly what'll happen (and Chauvin is a dirty cop and probably "enforcer" anyway). Then Antifa/BLM are left holding their flaccid dicks in their hands with nothing to do.

Alternatively, he's let loose and nothing happens because it's Biden's DS America again, where color revolutions are no longer necessary.

I agree. It will not only be Minneapolis burning, but the entire country. Having torched sections of many cities they'll be headed for the easy pickings of YT in suburbia. Even Anglin, who's not exactly the sharpest knife in the drawer, sees the ongoing attacks on Asians by white-supremacist negroes as a rehearsal for a generalized nationwide attack on whites. With the southern border wide open and the regime literally flying invaders to states as far as North Dakota they'll have Obama's promised army in place. Most whites are clueless. TPTB want it to burn again, probably as a distraction while they escape with the deeds and material resources.

"There is no "3 times the lethal dose of Fentanyl""

Yes there is, it's medical terminology. IIRC the "lethal dose" is calculated from 50% mortality rate. Yes, you could possibly survive ten times the lethal dose, but your chances are not good.

"An habituated user of opiates can need that amount just to not to experience withdrawal."

Have you ever considered why it is that users of addictive substances with diminishing returns on highs still always eventually overdose if they don't at least partially kick it? It's because your body can't acclimate as much to the substance as it can to the high. Your pleasure senses eventually burn out, and no amount of stimulation will provide any response, while your body's ability to counter toxicity eventually runs out and you die.

In addition, do you really think that lethal dose is calculated by sampling non-users -- to death? It's calculated primarily off of the free trial subjects that kill themselves with it, who are typically not first time users. Sheer sample size ensures that it primarily reflects habitual users.

Third, some things your body doesn't really acclimate much at all to the toxicity of.

Fourth, if you hold the medical examiners as incompetent to determine lethal dosage and overdose to a user, how can you simultaneously hold that they're competent to determine cause of death at all while foreign and unnecessary substances are in the body?

The "BUT HE WAS A USER HIS TOLERANCE WAS HIGHER" argument is ruled out from multiple angles.

"Unless the defense can find that Floyd recently tried to get methadone from an ER or otherwise came into contact with someone clinically and told them his daily intake, this is going to be really difficult to prove, especially to a jury just looking to hang Chauvin."

Or was, you know, displaying obvious signs of massive overdose to all the witnesses, like he was.

"It's fine with me if BLM/Antifa burn down Minneapolis, and every other liberal city...The wages of sin and all that...."

I prefer to keep the shit-swarm containment devices intact until secondary containment and sterilization measures are in place.

"Everyone should consider how a juror in this trial faces immense pressure now."

To pay the blackgild. If they pay it, I hope they die by being physically eaten alive by other humans, they will have earned it by throwing an innocent man to the cannibals.

"How many people would realistically sacrifice themselves and, more importantly, their family, on the altar of justice?"

Unlikely. Try "sacrifice their temporary comfort in exchange for their progeny existing in thirty years". Sure, many wouldn't make the sacrifice, and in turn no one will cry over their graves.

Community death marches you mean?

Jury tampering and intimidation was the Establishment's goal all along. If they were worried about that and wanted to prevent it, all parties concerned would have insisted on a venue change to some rural Minnesota town, or another largely-vibrant-free city farther away from the Twin Cities area, someplace like Bemidji. It wouldn't entirely eliminate the threat of jury tampering/intimidation, but there would be far fewer vibrants to make the threat credible.

What is interesting about the medical examiners report is that Floyd arrived at the ER at 9:00 pm and was pronounced dead at 9:20 pm.

The incident with Chauvin occurred at around 8:15 pm when you look at the body camera footage that became available online.

This means that Floyd was removed from the scene anywhere between 8:30 and 8:40 pm.

Minneapolis might already have started to burn. In the first three months of 2021 they had 17 murders. On the website of the Minneapolis police I have found data that go back until 2008 to which I can compare this number. During the 13 years from 2008 to 2020 they had on average 6,38 murders during the first quarter. So they are currently running by a factor of 2,66 above that 13-year average.

Moreover, the 6,38 average murders during the first quarter constitute about 15% of the average yearly number of murders. If 2021 turns out to be regular in terms of the distribution of murders over the year (so that the 17 murders of this year will turn out to be somewhere around 15% of the year end number of murders), then Minneapolis should end up somewhere around 113 murders. That would mean that they would easily surpass their all-time record of 96 murders per year set in 1996 (and that year was already a complete outlier year).

White woman, he fights back, somehow wrests weapon away, kills her, End Program, not reported.
Black man, puts knee on neck/back/wherever, suspect dies. Not reported, another scumbag dies doing what he loved. Slight repercussions perhaps (see 'Prince Jones death' circa 2000 in Prince Georges County-yes, it's confusing I know, for reference).

I said the fix was for acquittal, and we're seeing it happen. Remember that this is not just Minneapolis. State politics in MN has long been dominated by the Twin Cities, so state power is on the table here; MN's governor is embattled due to his abuse of Emergency Powers, so he too benefits from the political cover that an acquittal followed by widespread rioting allows as it gives him the cover to call up the Guard and openly occupy the Cities and maybe surrounding suburbs under the cover of riot suppression. If that happens, the door-to-door stuff can easily follow.

As said above, Legal Insurrection is the best source for me. Also, PowerLine has been covering it including jury selection details. I had Tim Pool on in background last night. He talked real long, mostly about the Legal Insurrection posts.

As I recall:
A witness said Chauvin would been justified in using even more force, including a taser.
A witness said that he had personally continued to keep someone down after they stopped resisting.
Some martial arts hobbyist said Chavin had applied a "blood choke."
An expert witness said that a blood choke required both sides of the neck to be compressed and such chokes took effect in seconds.
These were all prosecution witnesses. One witness was so bad for the prosecution that the defense added them to their witness list.

The MSM is mostly reporting only the anti Chauvin results so people will be outraged by any lack of conviction.

@89 The emergency workers/EMTs never declare time of death. Only a licensed full doctor can declare time of death.

The reason why is that death is a process, and depending on how you die it can be tough to be sure someone is really dead or not just breathing shallowly and in a coma and maybe resuscitatable and maybe you didn't feel the pulse or you put the monitoring device in the wrong spot or their heart is on the wrong side or whatever.

Every year, you read a story or two about someone waking up in the morgue or coming awake on the autopsy table when the knife goes in because even a doctor can make a mistake on whether or not someone's dead or not.

So even though the EMT may think someone is dead, or beyond home, they'll give you what's called the 'happy horseshit line' and tell you they're getting whoever to the doctor as soon as they can to make sure.

I never argued that EMT's would call the time of death. I am arguing that there is a 20-minute period between when Floyd arrived in the hospital and when he was declared dead. It doesn't take 20 minutes to determined death has occurred, which means that was time spent to try to revive him, which means Floyd was alive and there was an attempt to save his life.

How could Floyd have died from the lingering effects of a neck hold that was no longer in place.

I listen to Michael Savage's podcast, he's the "border, language, culture" guy. For some reason, he has totally ignored the evidence coming out about George Floyd's death. He has certainly not seen the full video (only the edited portion suggesting Floyd was kneed to death). He hasn't seen the body cam video, showing Chauvin's. knee on Floyd's shoulder, not on his neck. He has ignored (or is unaware of) the fact that Floyd had a lethal dose of Fentanyl in him when he announced to the police that he hadn't taken any drugs and couldn't breathe. Michael Savage's commentary on Floyd's death is emotional to the point of hysterical. That reflects the opinion of a lot of people out there.

This is why it's so important not to jump to conclusions when a red hot story is blared through the media. George Floyd couldn't breathe because he took a lethal dose of fentanyl, not because police leaned on his neck. Of course, the fact that the medical examiner was biased certainly didn't help matters. Despite no bruises on Floyd's neck, he called it "homicide" before (or in spite of) the toxicology report. This is a big mess that could have been avoided if there wasn't a rush to judgment.

I don't know if Chauvin is a good police officer or a bad one. But it now appears certain that Chauvin did not kill Floyd. Fentanyl did.

A man is dead whether is black, white, asian or whatever at the hands of a police officer. His guilt was solidified when George Floyd died whether Chauvin meant to kill him or not. I would want the same standard applied to you when your time comes that some takes your life either intentionally or unintentionally. We'll say that person is innocent and should not be held accountable for your death.

Murder deserves guilt. Killing a person is not necessarily murder. Floyd died at his own hands or the hands of whomever administered the overdose.

" I would want the same standard applied to you when your time comes that some takes your life either intentionally or unintentionally."

Neither of which is the case here....

" We'll say that person is innocent and should not be held accountable for your death."

...You twisted, lying, manipulative, demoniacally invested freak.
