MLB cuts its own throat
Apparently seeing how the NBA ratings have cratered, Major League Baseball has decided that it needs to follow suit and go after that sweet, succulent Social Justice demographic:
Major League Baseball announced Friday that it is moving the 2021 All-Star Game and 2021 draft out of Atlanta in protest of a new Georgia law that has raised concerns about its potential to disproportionately disenfranchise minority voters.
In a statement, MLB commissioner Rob Manfred said the league is "finalizing a new host city and details about these events will be announced shortly."
A source told ESPN that the All-Star Game is still planned for Los Angeles in 2022 and won't be moved up to fill the void this summer.
"Over the last week, we have engaged in thoughtful conversations with Clubs, former and current players, the Players Association, and The Players Alliance, among others, to listen to their views," Manfred said as part of his statement. "I have decided that the best way to demonstrate our values as a sport is by relocating this year's All-Star Game and MLB Draft.
I'd like to say that I'm going to boycott baseball to express my contempt for MLB's convergence, but unfortunately, I haven't seen a baseball game since 1991.
The Olympics have embraced social justice too, but that's practically redundant.

Who wants these idiots in their city?
It's not like MLB owns baseball or anything - sports is a community event that brings people together. There is nothing wrong with returning it to the community roots and cutting away the dead flower that these leagues and associations have become. Make sports great again!
Thoughtful conversations are only for giant faggots
I was a subscriber of MLB.tv...until today. It wasn't their intent, but wokeness keeps saving me money.
They want voting to emulate All Star Game voting.
I love the Olympics. Every fourth years me and my friends watch the sports we like and keep score. But if this year they go with the negro power and the notvax pushing, fuck the Olympics. And if the Japs go with it, fuck the Japs too.
One of the more annoying aspects of this is the average citizen is FORCED via back-room 'deals' with ISP's to pay ESPN and therefore the MLB, NFL, and NBA.
There is no line-item to opt out of, and in most cases there are no alternative service providers for internet, and further there is no indication as to whether they have "signed on" to siphon your money to these ideologues.
It's the sports version of CNN and airports.
There are SO many things I wish I did so that I could boycott them. For example: every day I wish I could quit Twitter again. But I did that in 2018.
I was coming here specifically to post (somewhere) a comment about this. I'm a lifelong passionate MLB fan, but this is the last straw for me. The current commissioner is a disgusting (and probably very dangerous and paid-off) SJW POS. I...am...out. Canceling everything. Full boycott.
So how long until Georgia is out of the Union?
Ha thoughtful conversations.
they've lost so many attendees due to COVID and prior wokeness that they now have a good reason to turn the stadiums into housing
Imagine if you will...
Between this and the Twins feeling obligated to remind me in every single press release to wear a mask and get the non-vaccine, I've decided to opt out of the 2021 MLB season. As an avid lover of the game, I'll continue to support my sons in their youth baseball endeavors.
For woke companies, their former customers are now irrelevant. They serve only the money masters.
I turned off the Falcon and the Winter Soldier once the woke cop scene happened in episode 2. According to Doomcock a number of other viewers did the same.
Just keep turning it off.
DAMN IT!
I love baseball and love listening to the game on the radio but I can't follow them down this path.
Well, bye!
I'd say let it burn to the ground but it seems like I'm too late as it's already in cinders. They just refuse to see it. lol
I wasn't a rabid fan or anything like that; I just liked sports in general. Now? I only wish for the tradition to continue but the corporate parts (along with some of the players) like MLB and the NFL? They could be on fire, screaming in agony and I wouldn't piss on them. Best to just let evil die.
I was a Braves fan as a kid, but haven't even watched more than an inning on TV in decades. This move turns them from an idle curiosity into a blight on the TV when I go out.
Maybe I should explain to sports bar managers that I won't be going there since the wokeness became palpable.
Can’t wait for it all to collapse.
Is all this supposed to convince us that Georgia, ground central for the 2020 steal, is actually doing something serious about stopping vote fraud so we'll line up to kick the football again in 2022?
P#ss on MLB. I'll watch American Legion ball.
...the league is "finalizing a new host city and details about these events will be announced shortly."
Portland as odds-on favorite. America's pastime will enjoy a new lease of life in the intellectual Athens of the Pacific North-West.
I wish I cared enough about these garbage organizations so I could boycott them. But I haven't watched an MLB, NFL, NBA or any other professional/collegiate sporting event in well over 6 years now. Let's just hope that moves like this convince enough of the so called conservatives who still watch to finally make the decision to boycott. Somehow I expect if they're still watching they will continue to watch no matter how much they are hated.
Empty stadiums on the news last night. This will end as predicted
Taking away sports breaks down a nation and a community. Bye bye America's pastime. Another win for the nwo.
Its easiest to assume that every organization is pozzed.
The Olympics exercised social justice when they cancelled themselves last year.
So trying to ensure honest elections is racist and oppressive.
So long MLB, nothing like cutting your own throat.
At least they play offence, not eternal defence. Sure, they're wicked and they can't possibly win in the long run, but they can make everyone's lives incredibly miserable in the meantime, because they are committed and will push back hard against any minor attempt to prevent their election cheating.
MLB on the other hand is combining social justice convergence with regional blackout strategies that will prevent regional fans in non market areas from seeing any games of, for example, the Cubs, Cardinals, Royals and Twins. It would be as if a Browns fan in Toledo couldn't see the Browns, Bengals, Lions or Colts.
Come to think of it...they may be blacking out in order to excuse the SoshulJustUs.
The... what?
I wish I cared more about major league sports so I could care less.
Pussies. If it's such a big damn deal, why don't they force the Braves to play in another state until the elected officials of Georgia do what they're told?
"I have decided that the best way to demonstrate our values as a sport is by relocating this year's All-Star Game and MLB Draft."
Evidently, "demonstrating (y)our values" also includes supporting a terrorist organization (BLM) that burned large chunks of major US cities, including cities hosting some of *your* franchises, to the ground last summer.
I guess this douche kinda forgot that part.
And yet, boomer sportsball junkies (like my dad, whom I'll be visiting this weekend) won't turn this shit off - all the while bitching about how "the country is going to hell". Already there, pops. Thanks a fukton.
What's baseball?
I stopped paying attention to baseball when they had one of their retarded strikes Back in the early or mid 90s I think it was.
“Potential?”
Who’s old enough to remember when pointing out covid response modifications to State election laws has potential fo disenfranchise voters of caucasian color was grounds to deplatform?
The Bread and Circus presented to us is vile and foul to my senses.
I haven't watched a baseball game since 2004, though I did watch whatever the Seattle Mariners were doing up until 2008. Nothing since...
I do wonder though, how well the BLM stuff will go over with the latin contingent of MLB.
My beloved Red Sox painted a 250 foot BLM mural at Fenway Park. They'll never get my attention or money again.
Funny, really, because blacks say Boston is a super-racist town. All that sucking up won't win them a single friend.
They know Atlanta didn't vote for their guy... except on paper. :)
The separation of wheat and chaff accelerates. Soon there will be free state leagues vs "liberal" state leagues.
Actually, I've never seen a pro baseball game in person. And I have probably never seen a whole game on television either. I never found it worth my time.
Long past time to make Major League Baseball's ludicrous "anti-trust exemption" go Buh-Bye.
People still buy cable TV? / Well they want to dynamite highways. Might as well. No one goes to games anymore.
Maybe an eventual evolution to the Promotion-Relegation model used elsewhere.
Imagine, a best of 5 series between the Detroit Tigers and the Kansas City Royals to see who gets relegated to AAA ball and the International League.
Would be funny if it were the Toledo Mud Hens getting promoted.
GA Legislature found an opening.

Never owned a TV. But now I'm getting a t-shirt made:
F TV
Based SDL, pre-emptively boycotting the gaysebal league 20 years in advance. Truly a man ahead of its time :D
As woke corporate rake stomping goes, this a two-fer.
Not only did MLB further alienate its shrinking fanbase, it just cost Democrat Atlanta the revenues and publicity that the All-Star game would have attracted.
Pure. Woke. Genius.
Guys... i just got out og a week in the hodpital. Battlr bots! Bettern' then championship wrestlong! Sctre chsirs in the ring were talking genuine circle saws with flame throwers!!machine hit anoyher lastnight and THREW it acrodd the ring! Im not boffin enough to arithmaric ty he footpounds needed to launch a 250lb. Machin 6' in the air and s distance of 10' but then came the flamethrowers. I m teady to start learnin to code to make this little gem of destruction. Im envisioning an army dropped off in yhe nesrest blm march which are entirely non violent. As mikie says... " are you readyeady to rumble?!"
More good news. Keep alienating us and our numbers grow. I think your average Joe is starting to realize they hate us.
What a missed opportunity to position themselves ahead of the NFL and NBA. The MLB has been dying a natural death for a while now. That death is now all but assured.
If the GA legislature wants to troll MLB and the woke corporations, it should impose a per-ticket tax on large sports venues and a separate larger tax on luxury boxes in those stadia and explicitly dedicate the funds to election integrity. And then helpfully publish the names of all corporations who paid the tax and how much the teams have raised for election integrity. The exploding heads and doublespeak from all involved would be hilarious.
They probably won't do that, but if MLB wants to hit GA in the wallet, GA should hit them right back like this and make it as painful as possible.
I know, right? As a Georgian I can only hope that as insane as the Left is, maybe Chairman Zho Bai-ding, Nancy, and AOC will vote to kick us out of the “union”.
I haven't watched a game since 04. Wasn't a fan then so guess it's no loss. Seems like baseball is missing a trick and not gobbling up a lot of disenchanted fans of other sports. But hey, they can be an even smaller fish in a diverse pond where there fans are disinterested and destroy the stadiums after games.
There is no backbone anymore anywhere because conservatives simply won't back beleaguered allies. It'll be this way until we are all gone or it snaps in yet another rightist outburst of ultraviolence. Kings, real kings are the only way to prevent the democratic cycle of shit, degeneracy, violence.
In for a stroke???
Haven't followed the Tigers since they pissed away their last World Series opportunity.
When is a state legislature going to play hard ball and impose targeted taxes on these organizations? Demonstrate actual power to them and let them know their virtue signaling isn't consequence free.
"Over the last week, we have engaged in thoughtful conversations with Clubs, former and current players, the Players Association, and The Players Alliance, among others, to listen to their views,"
Translation: We let the joggers, trannies, and the bagels yell at us and browbeat us for awhile instead of laughing them out of the room. Because we are corrupted and evil.
I’m thinking Mexico City
I’d imagine that’s how half the southern migrant population gets here in the first place, through MLB
I haven't watched that shite in decades. i could not care less.
The Olympics was always a globalist run operation and it shows. Rampant cheating early on gave rise to rampant corruption later. Today, countries that host the Olympics are routinely driven into debt to pay for infrastructure that the recipients can't afford to maintain or put to use.
All the major revenue streams are taken by the Olympics committee, while all the costs are paid by the people of the area hosting the event. It's as close to a perfect extraction machine as you can design. Someone has to do the arduous work of choosing the next Olympics venue for the measly sum of billions of dollars per year.
Brilliant. I’ve passed this suggestion exactly as you wrote it to my GA state house rep.
Hell, until this post, I forgot there was baseball.
> but unfortunately, I haven't seen a baseball game since 1991.
I've never seen an MLB game live and don't expect to. I did occasionally watch the games on TV. Up until the 94 lockout that is. I've never bothered since. If the game didn't matter to either the owners or the players enough for them to play it, why should it matter to me?
Remodel the baseball fields into shooting ranges. Ball games are for children.
Half the owners in MLB own teams in other pro leagues. This should be no surprise to anyone.
MLB is still a thing?
I thought I would check Aubrey huf's twitter. 13 years in MLB. Ca't get his tweets but you can see them on the search page

Baseball finally ruined
Real 'rich' of them pulling this stunt while employing some of the highest paid blacks in the country, 10, 20 30 million a year.
Life long avid MLB fan and have traveled to see games around the country. This is the final straw. MLB.tv is cancelled as of now.
I hope someone with MLB reads this thread.

The Billionaires who own MLB have made it clear they're the "Democrat Baseball League" and they can have. To hell with the. No more MLB for me.
No doubt the Billionaire Democrat BB owners are betting their future on the Hispanics, and are happy if their Center-right, mostly white, fans just leave. Ok by me. Adios MLB.
Interestingly ... this is a major sports league implicitly stating they support organized cheating. Let that sink in. The league that canceled Pete Rose for the mere potential of cheating (never proven he did) itself happily supports it in something far more important.
So you didn't see the Blue Jays win the series in '92? Prime Minister Macdonald and the Queen came to meet the team, it was wild.
My grandfather would take me to the weekday games, back in the 70's. The stadium would be empty- 5 bucks to the usher got you behind home plate.
Such good memories of those times- didn't matter if they won or lost- my grandfather and I, together- for a kid from a shattered home, it was heaven.
That being said-I've not watched a game since around the time John Kruk made his famous comment in '93.
They betrayed us thereafter, and we drifted away.
Now? May they ache in the echoes of their empty emporiums.
They are the husk of a bygone age.
Time to start anew.
Grew up watching the Evansville Triplets as my father raised me on stories of Mickey Mantle & Al Kaline. Played T-Ball, Pee-Wee, Little League, Pony, Legion, High School, D1 and then the minors. Idolized Don Mattingly. Remember watching my first World Series in 1985 World Series when the Tigers hammered San Diego with a group of players coming out of Evansville like Gibson, Trammell, Whitaker, Morris, Parrish & Petry. Raised by Steve Stone & Harry Carey. Never missed a World Series. Took BP with Nomar. Played catch with Mattingly & Trammell. Got a singed ball from Puckett. Wrote a baseball blog for a decade. Own every book written by Baseball Prospectus, Rob Neyer & Bill James. Read Ball Four probably 100 times. Can quote Bull Durham, Eight Men Out & Major League completely.
I stopped caring when they got rid of Chief Wahoo, but I can't go down this road with them now. It's over.
The hilarious thing about all the bruhaha over voting in Georgia is that it is still much easier to vote in Georgia than it is to board a commercial airliner.
Brett baker wrote:So how long until Georgia is out of the Union?
A lonooonnnng time. Look at the demographics. Out of 9.6 million people, around 35% are vibrant, 8% are Hispanic, and 3% are immigrants. So the balance is precarious. The last 3 governors have gone hell-bent-for-leather to offer tax breaks to corporations located in ultraliberal states to move their headquarters to Georgia, and these companies have taken up the offer and moved their ultraliberal personnel with the headquarters. And Georgia has the same problem as many other states: over half the population, which includes most of the vibrants and leeches, lives in metro Atlanta, and metro Atlanta dominates state level politics.
It would not surprise me to see Georgia looking like New Jersey in the next 10 years.
"My beloved Red Sox painted a 250 foot BLM mural at Fenway Park. They'll never get my attention or money again."
I still have the newspaper from the day after they broke The Curse stashed away in my closet. Shame.
If one still facies a baseball game, the minor leagues in these smaller cities can be quite fun. Why not see the Fort Wayne Tin Caps instead?
> Is all this supposed to convince us that Georgia, ground central for the 2020 steal, is actually doing something serious about stopping vote fraud so we'll line up to kick the football again in 2022?
They're not that smart. This is them throwing a hissy fit that anyone dares even pretend to make it harder for illegals to vote or voter fraud to take place. The fact that the law won't be enforced is beside the point.
I feel your pain. I never had Twitter, Facebook, or an interest in professional sports. Even before I was saved and started trying to live for Christ, I just worked and played video games. And since I never buy new games, I cant even boycott how SJW the game companies have become. But I support not giving these leeches and demons money!
They won't
What comments? I'm curious. I only remember Chris Farley playing him for laughs
Thats what they want you to think. Yes atl is flooded but outside it everywhere else is deep red southern. Its neighboring states all vote at 3 to 25 percent republican Every election.
The Olympics, one big international grift!
I last attended a MLB game in the late 1970s or early 1980s. I stopped following MLB after the 1994 strike, when the millionaire crybaby players walked and even canceled the World Series that year! I'd boycott MLB, but I walked away from them too long ago to make a difference.
That said, minor league games are great! They're cheap; there's not a bad seat in the house, thanks to the small stadia they play in; the fan experience is good; and the game is good. For the price of one MLB ticket, you can take the whole family to a game! Minor league games will be a lot closer to where you live, so even if you attend a weeknight game, you'll still be home at a decent hour for work the next day.
My cuckservative buddy, a debit Braves supporter, messaged me that he's done with baseball. I find it hilarious as he's always started that he didn't care what the sjw cried did because they don't affect him. Well, now he's out of his game and into the new game of cultural war.

More recently, Rob Manfred refused to penalize the Houston Astros players for cheating their way to a fake World Series championship in 2017.

Consider the source. All those who are a high yellow or a slightly tan shade of sh*tskin are against America, as she was.
