I would LOVE to vote for a Hispanic president

I started to write "who falls for these ludicrous stories" when it struck me, I know perfectly well who falls for them and why.
It goes like this: He was working as a janitor at Frito-Lay’s Rancho Cucamonga plant when he dreamed up a chile-covered Cheeto and believed in himself enough to call up the chief executive to pitch his spicy idea.

Corporate backstabbers tried to sabotage Montañez for stepping out of line, but he out-hustled them, driven by a hunger to succeed. Flamin’ Hots became a runaway hit, and Montañez rose through the ranks and became an icon.

Watching his many recorded speaking engagements, it’s easy to see why his story has taken off.

Montañez is a charismatic speaker, and his tale of a Mexican American underdog whose ingenuity conquered the corporate world is a rags-to-riches fable baked into the origin of a wildly popular snack.

With their spicy kick and neon-red flavor dust, Flamin’ Hot Cheetos have inspired viral rap videos, Instagram-worthy menu items and streetwear designs. Schools have banned the snack altogether over concerns about its popularity with children. Clear revenue numbers are hard to come by, but nearly every major Frito-Lay line, from Smartfood popcorn to Funyuns, now has a Flamin’ Hot variety on the market.

Montañez has built a lucrative second career out of telling and selling this story, appearing at events for Target, Walmart, Harvard and USC, among others, and commanding fees of $10,000 to $50,000 per appearance.

It's no wonder the Richard Montañezs, the Ben Shapiros, the Candace Owens harbor such contempt for white conservatives. White conservatives will believe literally anything a minority tells them, because it makes them feel good about themselves.

If NASA ever finds itself in serious danger of being exposed, all they need to do is whip up a mission to send a black astronaut, a Hispanic astronaut, and a gay astronaut to the Moon. No white conservative would ever doubt anything NASA said ever again.

Here is the metric. If hearing about a story makes you not only feel good, but feel good about yourself for feeling good, be very skeptical.

Even more lies than when the Clintons were in there? Heck that would be entertaining.

But...but...muh American Dream! Muh civnattery! Muh natural conservatives!

To be fair, though, Hispanics come in second here, too. Conservatives would MUCH rather latch onto a black person, like joyful leeches, that mumbles something vaguely conservative once and awhile. When they see a black person say one thing that even somewhat nearly comes close to a conservative thought, no matter how fleeting, it's an orgasmic experience for them. Except maybe for those siding into nationalism.

“There’s just one problem: Montañez didn’t invent Flamin’ Hot Cheetos, according to interviews with more than a dozen former Frito-Lay employees, the archival record and Frito-Lay itself.“

Too true. It's total cowardice. They'd rather tell themselves a pretty little lie and feel good about it than admit the truth because it sounds mean.

So many people need to die for this world to remain livable. Not for eco reasons, but for sociological ones.

Occasionally I wonder if vaccine depopulation wouldn't be fate in disguise, like Judas betraying Jesus, it's just fated to happen, and somewhere in the dark of hypothetical unknowables, perhaps even beneficial.

Then I look at the stains pushing the fauxines, who would presumably survive, and there's no way it would be beneficial unless the trap springs back on them somehow.

She's definitely a ticket taker. She went from being a virtual no one literally sitting before Congress. She has no experience doing anything productive. She doesn't say anything groundbreaking or new but all you hear is white conservatives say how she's such a beautiful black woman and they'd vote for her in a heart beat. I'm not white and I can see through this charade

Ever heard of a sweat lodge? Some of the thinking that can happen in those is mind bending. This? This reminds me of a malaria lodge.

I see the orientals, in America, are about as bad. They had some sort of effort to be peaceable. The placard had three hands, a brown, a black, and a yellow. The yellow was the lowest. I noted at that former (for his part) friend's blog that, with that attitude, perhaps whites and orientals need to be wiped out. Stupid is as stupid does.

Bow to your new masters, even if they use their left hands to wipe... if that. Meh.

This reminds me of the muzzie clockboy who "invented" a clock (that kinda looked like a bomb) by just ripping off the outer plastic housing. It was enough to worry the whypipo teachers though, so instant hero and invited to Obama's white house. Gayest story ever. Well - til now.

So this latest hero is a Mexican who was so smart and he had such big dreams and worked the hardiest hardest ever, more than all the whites. Yeah, his genius was putting extra spices. On food. Because nobody had EVER thought of that before.

It's always a tell when they put forth some POC who is super smart doing something whites did a thousand years ago, or even a chimp a million years ago.

Yawn. I always skip right over those stories, but then the MSM clubs me over the head until I know every tear-inducing moment of their lifelong "struggle."

Candace Owens? You think she's a ticket taker?

She's an opportunist at best, and if she hasn't taken the ticket, it probably hasn't been offered because there was no need to. She got her start by accusing a couple white high school classmates of making racist threats and squeezing the city for damages. Then she ran a marketing agency that put out anti-Trump, anti-conservative content. When she realized there was a lot more room for a black woman on the pro-Trump side, she effortlessly jumped across the aisle. Whether she believes anything she currently says, your guess is as good as anyone's.

Beautiful last sentence. It reminded me of this:

“Kitsch causes two tears to flow in quick succession. The first tear says: How nice to see children running on the grass!

The second tear says: How nice to be moved, together with all mankind, by children running on the grass!”

She didn't so much as have a footprint before the great purge of early 2017 in which every account that actually owned the narrative for the right on twitter was systematically removed.

If they're allowed an account on these platforms it is not by some accidental failure to remove them, it is because they're either deemed not a threat or wholly owned.

Who is the HELL is impressed by someone "inventing" a Cheeto flavor? How is that a claim to fame?

Sure, I'd joke about it at dinner parties if it was me, but it's actually kind of insulting that it's considered an accomplishment for a Latino. It's only slightly less condescending than bragging on your black friend who has both a job and kids with only one woman.

And then, of course, it's made up.

This is an indication they have abandoned metaphysics and, along with it, the teachings of the Church. Quite a while ago I was at a series of meetings of outside counsel for a large, nation wide, corporation. Almost like a seminar more than actual meetings.

So they decided to bring in their Hispanic vice president for being diverse, and he proceeds to tell a room full of mostly, and some completely, cynical lawyers a story about how how how he was in second grade and the school district imposed a rule that Spanish was only to be spoken in Spanish class and ESL classes. And how that completely destroyed him as a human.

But lucky for him, all the students, including him in second grade, banded together to strike down that racist rule.

He even squeezed out a little sob and teared up. That was how good he was at it.

I was desperately looking forward with no expression or eye contact, as most of the room no doubt was, to avoid laughing at his ridiculous over the top grifting. But he rode his BS story to real wealth and power.

A great lot of what makes her popular, imho (other than the obvious black conservative heroine iconography),is the seemingly off the cuff way she handles herself and dismantles her opponents in real time. She's like a person undergoing spontaneous combustion suddenly turning into the Human Torch.

This is assuming it's not all rehearsed and choreographed like a pro-wrestling match, which wouldn't surprise me either.

Anonymous Anonymous May 17, 2021 3:53 PM

@55 moonman - I'd be reluctant to stick to that definition. The definition is obnoxiously shapeshiting depending on who is the academic junta dominating the meaning of words at the time.

At times, it can mean anyone descended from Spanish-speaking peoples (to include Spain), but globally nowadays it usually means anyone descended from Spanish-speaking Latin America. Because the academic junta is leaning very racially Marxist these days, there is also an additional meaning of "descendant of Spanish-speaking Latin America with some level of Indian ancestry" (a mestizo merely being the mix of Indian and European) but that is not a requirement. For example, Argentina and Uruguay especially are predominantly European, with Uruguay being almost exclusively...but they're mostly Spanish-descending, so I suspect they'd balk at being told they aren't Hispanic. Latino is more about mestizo or Indian descent - for example, a good chunk of Paraguay speaks Guarani, not Spanish (even though Guarani's vocabulary nowadays is heavily informed by Spanish words, like Spanish is from Latin) but I feel that most Guarani would balk at being told they aren't Latino.

Laino also is a politicized word that is more or less synonymous with Hispanic but almost always aggressively refers to or favors Indian ancestry over Spanish to the point of laughabile illogic, and ahistoricism and now a bunch of English-speaking Marxists in America are butting in and claiming ownership over a word in a language that isn't theirs and calling it "Latinx" in an effort to gain mastery over a foreing people's self perception and colelctive narrative (Marxists are extremely imperialistic).

Vox Day is 100% right in stressing the Latin American obsession with "La Raza" - the theory and dream of a new brown race, with one of the ruling parties of Mexico being named Moreno (meaning Brown), even though La Raza is still something of a pipe dream that opportunists use to manipulate peasants as the caste system still rules the day (with a few exceptions where white Spanish Cuban Marxists install an Indian puppet to rule the local narcosyndicate in charge, like in Ecuador or Bolivia or Venezuela).

I prefer to use Hispanic over Latino because of all the baggage of above. Latino is now "Moreno" or more obnoxiously "Latinx" and god forbid "Chicano" with all the racial Marxist theories that go with these words in the minds of enough English and Spanish speakers that it is a lost word really at this point.
